discovering that jeffie had mites last night was *not* my idea of a fun time...but as i'm a good hog mommy, i scrubbed out his cage and toys, gave him new bedding, and then before putting him back in, gave him a bath and then a dip in some water/olive oil, which the breeder said would help smother the mites. also washed everything that had ever touched him recently, including our clothes.

was very upset both last night/this morning - tried to get him a vet appt to get some meds for the mites this morning, but the regular vet was out of town until this friday (did NOT want to wait that long!) and angel memorial wanted $130 for an emergency visit...so i decided to work from home, and then drove him back up to the breeder's (in NH) to get the meds (which she luckily happened to have on hand). he should be fine now (breeder says the mites should be dead in 24 hours), but still stressy. also got a ticket from the street sweeper this morning since i parked on the wrong side because i was so stressed out and therefore not paying attention.

ugh, stank day.

i did, however, get to meet two hairless kittens at the breeders and watch them play...freaky little dudes, but cool!
